The Full Story

The Ocean and Marine Conservation Club consists of a group of Wake Forest University students dedicated to making the ocean a cleaner and safer home for marine life through fundraising and education.

OMCC aims to encourage collaboration between students, industry experts, and marine organizations, connect members to resources, and create a space that promotes an environmentally-conscious lifestyle.

In 2018, Libby Mohn and Oliver Hawkes founded WFU’s Ocean and Marine Conservation Club to unite students who recognized a missing opportunity to instill awareness in the Wake Forest and Winston-Salem community about today’s pressing ocean issues.
